The Significance of Anointing Oil

Posted by Digital Guider on

You may have heard of or seen anointing oils or healing oils of the bible used in a religious ceremony. In the Old Testament, a high priest used anointing oil to anoint priests, prophets, kings, and items for the tabernacle and all the servants who served the tabernacle. The ceremony showed that the person or thing had been set aside to serve God. During the dedication, the Holy Spirit would come upon them and give them strength and direction, as well as any knowledge to complete their task.

In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus Christ tells his disciples that when they heal others they should anoint them with oil and pray for them. This is also confirmed in James 5:13 and it shows how important this ritual was even back then.

Can You Use Anointing Oil for Personal Use?

Yes, you can definitely use anointing oil on yourself.

In both the Old and New Testaments, people used anointing oil on themselves. People would use it when they were fasting or when they were done crying over a loved one. For example the prophet Daniel mentioned fasting from putting healing oil from bible on his head, which he did every day traditionally. In proverbs and psalms we have numerous mentions of anointing the head with oil as a precious gift of the wise and as an honor. In luke 10 the good Samaritan put olive oil and wine on his wounds, which is the best healing oils for skin.

It shows that you can do it by yourself in this day and age as well.

Here are some of the ways you can use the Kure-it Rx healing oils of the bible:

Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Cancer, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, arthritis, and Alzheimer's disease can all be caused by chronic inflammation. It has been shown that extra virgin olive oil can help reduce chronic inflammation, as well as both frankincense and myrrh are both known anti-inflammatory resins. These also have many other health benefits. These precious resins were even brought to Jesus Christ by wise men of the bible upon his birth along with Gold. The Gold shows the value of these other 2 precious oils, also of the olive tree family.

Help Reduce the Risk of Strokes

A stroke happens when your brain doesn't get enough blood. This can be caused by bleeding or a blood clot. So, after heart attacks, strokes are the second leading cause of death in most developed countries. Using olive oil may cut the chance of having a stroke by up to 40%, according to many studies. The main reason is that people who use extra virgin olive oil tend to eat more monounsaturated fats, which are good for the heart.

Protection against Heart Disease

People often forget about heart disease because it is the most common cause of death in the world. They don't take care of their heart health. Studies have shown that people who eat a low-fat diet and use the best oils for cooking are less likely to get heart disease.

Reduced Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

Extra virgin olive oil can also help lower blood sugar levels and make insulin work better. Because of this, it helps keep type 2 diabetes away.

One of the phenolic compounds in EVOO helps the body use glucose, which makes insulin work better. When combined with a Mediterranean or low-fat diet, EVOO can cut the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 50%.

Improve Bone Health

Polyphenols are found in high amounts in extra virgin olive oil, which can stop bone loss that comes with age. Olive oil helps break down calcium in the bones and makes new bones grow faster.

So, people who eat extra virgin olive oil are less likely to break their bones, especially older people.

Stay Healthy and eat your veggies too.
